Clearaudio To Debut New Flagship Unity Pivoted Tonearm at Florida Audio Expo 2025

Unity arm originally developed for 45th anniversary Master Jubilee turntable

Clearaudio's Unity tonearm, originally developed for the Master Jubilee turntable that celebrated the company's 45th analog manufacturing anniversary is now available in either black or silver finish as a "stand-alone" product for use with Clearaudio and other turntable brands. Price is $20,000. Clearaudio Universal tonearm owners receive 100% trade up allowance when upgrading to the Unity.

The Unity combines classic Clearaudio features such as interchangeable counterweights and magnetic anti-skate. The magnetically stabilized single point tonearm bearing was originally designed and implemented in the Naim Aro Mk II tonearm, developed by Clearaudio for the Naim Solstice turntable. The Unity enhances the design with a more sophisticated bearing housing that further reduces unwanted resonances.

The 10” carbon fiber tonearm strikes a superior balance between effective mass and lower tracing error than either 9” or 12” designs. Interchangeable counterweights, magnetically attached to the counterweight sled, allow optimal positioning for best tracking.

"On-the-fly" finely calibrated VTA adjustment is lockable for added rigidity. Azimuth adjustment, also lockable, is at the armwand/bearing housing junction. A series of magnets located within the bearing housing produces dynamic anti-skating without mechanical linkages and is conveniently adjustable via a thumb screw.

Silver internal wire produces the lowest resistance and superior signal flow. The 5 pin DIN jack termination allows for use of Clearaudio or other brand tonearm cables, fitted with RCA or balanced XLR, per the end user's phono preamplifier input jacks.

$20K...that's painful. I have two 12" Universal arms. Full credit on trade-in for one accounts for just a third of the cost of a Unity. Looks like a really nice arm though. Would love to hear how it performs on my Innovation and Lyra Atlas SL.
