Founded in 1883 in Sainte-Croix, Switzerland, Thorens has shaped the landscape of analogue music reproduction for more than 140 years, from early phonographs to legendary turntables such as the TD 124. Under the leadership of CEO Gunter Kürten, who took over the company in 2018, Thorens has continued to advance its heritage of innovation. The modern TD 124 DD and upcoming models reflect a deep respect for tradition combined with cutting-edge engineering, including a newly developed 12-pole direct-drive motor and refined mechanical architecture.
MoFi Distribution will represent a wide range of Thorens products, including the TD 124 DD and these forthcoming 2026 releases:
TD 404 DD: A high-end direct-drive turntable featuring the TP 160 tonearm, electronic lift, integrated stroboscope, pitch control, and RCA/XLR outputs.
TD 124 DD Exclusive: A reference-level edition featuring a new 12-inch TP 124 tonearm, pure-silver internal cabling, exclusive EMT cartridge, external TPN 124 power supply, copper platter, and gold-plated outputs.
