Wilson Audio Specialties Announces New Sabrina V Loudspeaker

now features the 7 inch AINiCo (Alnico, Nickel, Cobalt) QuadraMag paper/pulp midrange originally developed for the Chronosonic XVX

Wilson Audio Specialties just announced the newest loudspeaker in the lineup, the Sabrina V™—a major update of the popular and most affordable floor stander, SabrinaX—that now incorporates the much lauded 7 inch AINiCo (Alnico, Nickel, Cobalt) QuadraMag paper/pulp midrange originally developed for the Chronosonic XVX.

The look has been subtly updated.....

but more importantly the considerably refined enclosure makes use for its baffle the new "H" material— a high-density composite with organic and phenolic properties, that combines the older X material's rigidity, with a slightly softer and different construction that the company claims helps produce a more musical midrange—a quality that better compliments the AINico midrange driver's supple textures.

All outer panels are of X material with the entire enclosure further mechanically stiffened to improve vibrational control, the result, Wilson avers, is greater image focus and an "impressively low acoustic noise floor"—something for which Wilson loudspeakers are well known.

Wilson's "V-Material" is now nested and integrated into the SabrinaV's enclosure bottom at the spike diode interface. This upgraded isolation technology (V-MCD) also enhances vibration control to help provide an even quieter background.

The driver complement is comprised of The Convergent Synergy Carbon (CSC) tweeter, originally developed for the Alexx V, the AlNiCo mid-range and an 8-inch woofer—the same one used in the Sasha V and The WATT/Puppy.

Wilson will officially launch the Sabrina V on July 3rd
