AXPONA Video Two—Alotta Tube Stuff

but that's not all....

Okay, it's not all tube gear, but I tried to put all or most of the tube gear at Axpona 2026 in this video. I'm sure I missed some rooms that had tube gear because I was there mostly looking for turntables and phono preamps—no great surprise—but there were many rooms with tube gear. Some of it was in the first video.

Here you'll see more detail about the Audio Research Ref 20 that made its debut at this show, and other new Audio Research gear. You'll see new tube gear from Rogue and Jolida, Trehaus Audio, ampsandsound, Ypsilon and Air-Tight. This video covers interesting finds in the Expo Hall too. And a look at the big Axiss Audio room featuring Gauder, Accuphase and Transrotor.

gauThere's even a look at a new "super DAC" from Athens, Greece based Ideon. One's coming my way for review very soon. Next video will specialize in loudspeakers and whatever else missed the first two videos.

Once again, there's no link to the video here. You need to go directly to YouTube.

Am I wrong or are the tonearms the winner of all price explosions?

40k don't seem to be a real shocker, rather an appropriate price for what hopefully is state of the art at all. But sure, the clientele is small and a manufacturer has to ensure profit with probably very low 2 digit sales a year, if at all. I just notice, turntables aren't much more expensive anymore (usually not by factors anymore) than arms.
